First up, some motivation for you...
There is no such thing as "impossible". Only tough times and then really tough times, but if you stay consistent, the tough times will make for great stories when success comes.
Now let's get into it:
What have we been up to? => WEN NFT!!!
The Supabase Hackathon is in every sense a major event that allows developers to build new Open-Source projects with Supabase with a 7-Day deadline.
The great thing is that it could be whatever you want - a project, mobile app, tool, library, anything!!! , as long as you are using Supabase in some way.
Guillaume Bibeau-Laviolette @guibibeau was there for the W.3.F.S and worked at the supabase hackathon to test if serverless edge functions would be useful in NFT projects. In his project, Gui builds a suite of tools on top of supabase edge functions that allows for automatic indexing and validation of NFT ownership.
The project, named "Wen NFT!" also lets the user link their social media data after owning an NFT.
The most important part of this project is the security provision it makes whereby, if you are not a valid owner of an NFT, you WILL NOT BE GRANTED access into the discord of that particular community and if you are not an owner, you will not even be able to access the "join" page. The edge functions make this solution possible.
This solution can greatly help to curtail the crypto scammers who move from channel to channel posting links and trying to steal private keys.
